當前被塑膠加工業所廣泛使用,而吸濕性極強的Nylo、PC、PET等工程塑料已被證明由于其受氣候條件影響甚巨,無法采用傳統式熱風干燥系統來有效的降低其含濕率。
這些吸濕性極強的工程塑料必須于成型前,采用穩定性的低露點干燥風(至少-32℃)搭配適當的干燥溫度才能保證其**終含濕率降到0.02%以下,一旦此條件達成,該類塑膠成型品便能展現其**佳物理性質及表面光度,有效率的除濕干燥機,由于其密閉循環系統加上可以低到-50℃以下的低露點干燥風能促使塑料快速釋放水份至干燥風,更可以幫助成型業者避免成型出現縮水、銀紋或凹痕等困擾。
美國塑膠協會建議成型前塑料必**干燥到0.02%以下含水率(DEW POINT-35℃以下)
